About Women's Health Hubs

Women’s Health Hubs are centres that combine existing services to provide holistic, integrated, accessible care delivered by trained clinicians with the support of specialists, resulting in better patient outcomes.

Toolkit

The Women’s Health Hub Toolkit offers resources to support the set-up and growth of Women’s Health Hubs. The hubs provide tailored healthcare and support for menstrual problems, contraception, pelvic pain, menopause care, and more. The aim is to address fragmentation in provision and streamline access to women’s health services.

The hubs are a new idea, often developed by local doctors, and most women in the UK do not yet have a hub in their local area.

Portsmouth Hub

And here we need change; Portsmouth is a high-density city (Portsea island is under ten sq miles in size) – however, with a population of 104,840 women in such a small area, a Women’s Health Hub is such a positive idea.

Women’s Health Hubs are a great way to empower women and provide them with the necessary resources to take control of their health. These hubs offer a wide range of services that cater to women’s specific health needs. They provide a safe space for women to discuss their health concerns and receive personalised care from trained professionals.

The Women’s Health Hub Toolkit is an excellent resource for anyone interested in setting up a Women’s Health Hub. It provides detailed information on how to set up and run a hub, including guidance on funding, staffing, and governance. The toolkit also includes case studies of successful hubs that have been established in other parts of the UK.

One of the key benefits of Women’s Health Hubs is that they offer tailored healthcare and support for menstrual problems, contraception, pelvic pain, menopause care, and more. These services are often difficult to access through traditional healthcare providers due to long waiting times or lack of specialised knowledge. Women’s Health Hubs provide a one-stop shop for all these services, making it easier for women to get the care they need.

Another benefit of Women’s Health Hubs is that they address fragmentation in provision and streamline access to women’s health services. Many women struggle to navigate the healthcare system and access the services they need. Women’s Health Hubs provide a centralised location where women can access all the services they need in one place.

Women’s Health Hubs are also a great way to reduce health inequalities. Many women from marginalised communities face additional barriers when accessing healthcare services. Women’s Health Hubs provide a safe space where these women can receive personalised care from trained professionals who understand their unique needs.

This funding will help ensure that more women have access to these vital services, but only if we advocate for the need!

In conclusion, Women’s Health Hubs are an excellent resource for women in the UK. They provide tailored healthcare and support for menstrual problems, contraception, pelvic pain, menopause care, and more. They address fragmentation in provision and streamline access to women’s health services. They empower women by providing them with the necessary resources to take control of their health. With the UK government investing £25 million in Women’s Health Hub expansion 2
